If you're looking to wrap your personal car or a fleet of commercial vehicles in Austin, Texas, the most common question is: "How much is this going to cost?"

While custom vehicle wrapping is a highly tailored service and pricing varies based on your specific requirements, most professional wraps range from $2,500 to $10,000+.

To help you budget, we've broken down the key factors that determine wrap pricing, along with typical cost ranges for different vehicles and wrap coverages in 2026.

1. Pricing by Vehicle Size & Type

The size and shape of your vehicle is the biggest factor in cost, as it determines both the amount of premium vinyl needed and the hours of labor required for installation.

Vehicle Type Full Wrap Range Partial Wrap Range
Coupes & Compact Cars $3,500 - $4,200 $1,500 - $2,200
Sedans & Compact SUVs $3,800 - $5,000 $2,000 - $2,800
Full-Size Trucks & Large SUVs $5,000 - $7,000 $2,500 - $3,800
Cargo Vans (Transit, Promaster) $6,500 - $9,000 $3,200 - $4,800
Box Trucks & Food Trucks $8,000 - $12,000+ $4,000 - $6,500

2. Wrap Coverage Options

You don't always need a 100% full wrap to make a massive impact. Depending on your design, marketing budget, and vehicle color, we offer three main coverage types:

  • Full Wrap: Covers 100% of the vehicle's painted surfaces (excluding the roof on taller commercial vehicles if requested to save budget). Recommended for color changes and full-branded designs.
  • Partial Wrap (50% - 75%): Covers the rear half, doors, and hood, blending seamlessly with the vehicle's base paint. Highly cost-effective for commercial fleets.
  • Spot Graphics & Decals (25% or less): Custom cut logo, phone number, website, and services placed on the doors and tailgate. The most budget-friendly way to display your brand.

3. Material Quality Matters

Not all vinyl is created equal. At Canvas Advertising, we only use premium cast vinyls from 3M, Avery Dennison, and Orafol.

Cheaper shops might quote you half the price, but they are likely using calendared vinyl. Calendared vinyl is thick, shrinks in the Texas sun, and will crack and ruin your paint when you try to remove it in two years. Premium cast vinyl will last 5-7 years and remove cleanly.

The ROI of a Vehicle Wrap

While $3,000 might seem like a large upfront cost, think of it as a marketing investment. A single wrapped vehicle generates between 30,000 to 70,000 daily impressions in a city like Austin.

Compared to radio, TV, or digital ads, vehicle wraps have the lowest Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM) of any marketing medium.
